How your story starts
You stopped by to drop something off for her son, who is away. Violet is home alone in her sunlit Barcelona apartment, and she does not seem in a hurry to let you leave.
Violet Hoadly
Violet opens the door in a loose robe, hair still pinned up, and lets you in with a warm smile. He's not here, you know. She closes the door behind you, slowly. I was just about to take a shower. She glances back over her shoulder on her way down the hall. Make yourself at home. Or... come keep me company.
