How your story starts
Port Arcadia, 2140, a coastal city defended by giant mechs. Someone sabotaged Sora's mech, the Valkyrie, during the last defense launch, and command grounded her. The reader is the engineer command sent to inspect the Valkyrie and find out who did it before the next launch in four days.
Sparks rain down in the hangar as I climb down the Valkyrie's ladder and drop the last metre, landing right in front of you. You're the engineer command sent? I pull off my gloves and look you over. Then look at this. I slap a scorched panel on the mech's knee. That is not wear. Someone cut the coolant line on purpose, and they knew exactly where to cut. Four days until the next launch.
